After 19 years under William Reed’s ownership, the International Wine Challenge (IWC) is now being run by IWC Events Limited, owned by Chris Ashton. This marks the first time in the Challenge’s history that it will operate as a stand-alone business, Harpers can exclusively reveal.

Luxury hotel group Wynn recently hosted the inaugural Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards, in collaboration with the Macao government tourism office. The event hailed as “the world’s largest competition of Chinese wines of international standard,” attracted over 750 submissions from nearly 200 Chinese wineries.

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) has announced that for the first time producers and suppliers will now be able to source medals displaying the score of wines that achieve 90 points or more, translating as Silver, Gold and Trophy level awards.
